Ecological foundation of curriculum is using the basic principles,the basic theories and methods of Ecology to explore and explain the phenomena and problems in the curriculum from the ecological angle.To study Ecological foundation of curriculum, can help to extend and deepen the theoretical basis of curriculum, help to promote development of China’s new curriculum reform, and provide theoretical basis and scientific basis for problems in China’s new curriculum reform, it’s have important theoretical significance and practical significance.Ecological ideas and methods were introduced into the curriculum field in the1980s, domestic and foreign scholars began to research and discuss the ecological foundation of curriculum. The studies propose the mechanism upon relationship between environment and education or curriculum, education or curriculum ecological system, education system, distribution of educational resources, but there are still some problems of not clear research feild and in-depth research degree.In view of the existing problems in study of Ecological foundation of curriculum, the study should be dedicated to scientific research introduced the basic concepts and basic principles of Ecology. In the theory of Ecology, the core concepts of Ecological system including system, Ecological system,Ecological structure, Ecological environment, Ecological niche, etc.which throughout the Ecological theory are the skeleton of whole Ecological theory.Basic principles of general order Principle, interdependence and mutual restrict Principle, recycling Principle, balance and feedback Principle, input/output dynamic balance Principle, minimum factor Principle,are the important foundation and methodology of ecological foundation of curriculum.By ecological basic concept and basic principle as the foundation,to examine curriculum from the static perspective,curriculum firstly is a education ecosystem, and its Ecological environment is divided into three parts including the natural environment, social environment and regulating environment,Curriculum and its ecological environment together form a education ecosystem with many elements interacted which have five Ecological characters of integrity, item,symbiosis,openness, and dynamic balance.Ecological analysises of curriculum respectively research and study the Ecological characteristic of curriculum objectives, curriculum content, curriculum implementation, curriculum evaluation as basis of characteristics of curriculum ecosystem,and put forward the corresponding ideas, principles and requirements.In order to clear the study field of Ecological curriculum theory, and enrich the theoretical system of ecological curriculum theory,this article attempts to explore the mechanism of Ecological foundation of curriculum, named the Ecological curriculum of factor limiting effect, flowerpot effect, tolerance effect, niche effect, edge effect,"on the Richter scale effect, overall effect, and analyse deeply three function realization mechanisms of curriculum:energy flow, material cycle, information transference.
