In order to change the backward situation of basic education in China’s central and western regions and attract a large number of excellent normal school students there to promoting the development of education,China’s State Council promulgated the "Implementation Measures for the Free Education of Students Majoring in Teaching at the Normal Universities Directly under the Ministry of Education (trial)(General Official of the State Council (2007) No.34)". Since the introduction of the policy,the Tuition-free Normal Students has gain a variety of concerns,especially their teacher’s professional identity.For the Tuition-free Normal Students, their teachers’ professional identity relates to whether they can really engage in the teaching profession, or even a lifetime teaching. This research based on the survey of Tuition-free Normal Students in Subordinate Normal University, the study will gauge their teacher professional identity situation, problems and causes in system with the integrated use of questionnaires, interviews and other research methods.Finally, the study will gives some suggestions to enhance their teachers’professional identity and this will give some useful references to the Free Normal Education.This article is divided into an introduction and four parts of body.The introduction of the article mainly analyzes the the background and significance of this research.It also contains a literature review,research objectives and research contents and the research methods.The first part of the main body is the theoretical explanation of Tuition-free Normal Students’teacher’s professional identity. From interpreting the concept of identity, the article defines the concept of Tuition-free Normal Students’teacher’s professional identity. And it particularly analyzes the basic dimension of Tuition-free Normal Students’teacher’s professional identity, which includes career awareness, professional character, career will,professional ability and professional value. The article analyzes the Construction mechanisms of Tuition-free Normal Students’teacher professional identity in the view of social organization and individuality. The article points out the feature of Tuition-free Normal Students’teacher’s professional identity, which includes subject activity, plastic construction,changeful development and progressive formation.The second part of the main body is a survey and analyze based on the present situation of Tuition-free Normal Students’teacher professional identity. This part of article mainly uses questionnaire form to do a survey, whose object are some normal school students.And SPSS software is made to deal with the data from the questionnaire. The article does a specific analyze on the Tuition-free Normal Students’ teacher’s professional identity in the view of basic statistics of respondents, overall level of teacher professional identity and demographic analysis of professional identity. The basic conclusion of the questionnaire is that Tuition-free Normal Students teacher’s professional identity at an above average level.The third part of the main body is an analysis on the course of the problem on Tuition-free Normal Students’teacher professional identity. It analyzes the course of the problem from three areas, including community, organization and individuals. This article considers that from the perspective of social factors, National policy uncertainly and imperfect,primary teacher’s professional reputation at a low level and teacher’s salaries in different level, is a the course of the problem of Tuition-free Normal Students teacher’s professional identity. From the perspective of organization factor, normal universities don’t take effective measures to educate the Tuition-free Normal Students. And element schools don’t take enough support to the Tuition-free Normal Students. From the perspective of individual factor, there are contradictions between the independent aspiration and external causes. What’s more? There are contradictions between social responsibility and self-development.The forth part of the main body proposes countermeasures of improving the sense of professional identity of Tuition-free Normal Students. From the national perspective, improving the Tuition-free Normal Students policy is necessary. At the same time, enhancing teacher’s professional appeal is important. From the school perspective, it must take effective measures to educate the Tuition-free students.From individual perspective, forming a noble work value and training firm career beliefs is very important.
