Since September2007, ordinary senior high schools in Shaanxi Province have stepped into the program of Senior High School Information Technology Curriculum Reform, and so for, have made a complete round of the new curriculum experiment. However, in the last four years, how was implementation of the new Information Technology Curriculum in senior high schools? And what should be furthurly done to make a better practice? All these are urgently needed to know. In a sense, the effect of the implementation of the new curriculum depends on students’behavior of learning. Thus, only if a comprehensive look at the present situation of students’learning of the Information Technology Curriculum is done, could teachers clarify whether students have met the requirements of the curriculum standards in order to have more knowledge about the actual implementation of the new curriculum. In order to conduct a study on the present learning situation of the Information Technology Curriculum of senior high school students in Xi’an, this paper, which is based on the conception of the New Curriculum Reform, comprehensively applies the research methods of questionnaire survey, interview, literature review, and comparative study, etc. with the aims at revealing the existing problems in students’learning based on the analysis of the present learning situation, and putting forward to some constructive suggestions to the teaching and learning of the Information Technology Curriculum of senior high school in order to promote the furthur implementation of the new curriculum. The contents of the research of this paper are as the following.Chapter1is introduction, which firstly describes the topic of this study and the present researches on the topic, and then determines the aims and meanings of the research, and finally puts forward to the research content and methods.Chapter2is an overview of the course and learning of Senior High School Information Technology Curriculum under a new background of curriculum reform. In this chapter, firstly, there is an analysis of the conceptions, aims, and contents of Senior High School Information Technology Curriculum, based on which four characteristics of Senior High School Information Technology Curriculum are concluded. Secondly, there is a deep and comprehensive description about students’learning of the course from seven respects of learning environment, learning attitude, interests, motivation, learning styles and learning assessment, which supports and guides the furthur study of this research.Chapter3consists of the survey on the present situation of students’learning of the courses and data analysis. Firstly, a index system of the research is established in order to set down research tools, which is the questionnaire survey and interview on present learning situation of the Information Technology Curriculum of senior high school students in Xi’an. And then there is a close description of the arrangement and analysis of the collected data, which is based on the survey on the course from respects of learning environment, learning attitude, interests, motivation, learning styles and assessment.Chapter4is a conclusion drawn from the discussion of Chapter3, which summarizes the present learning situation of Information Technology Curriculum of senior high school from the discussed seven respects, which unfolds five key issues, and corresponding countermeasures are proposed.Chapter5is a conclusion of the thesis, which summarizes the achievements of this research and the author’s own experience and thoughts on Senior High School Information Technology Curriculum teaching and learning, and moreover, limitations of this research are pointed out for further study and research.
