As a factor of career choice, occupational interests have been concerned widely. Occupational Interest Profiles (OIPs) short version is a newly developed measurement, which is made by Armstrong. This research revised OIPs short version. After transformation and three revision, and investigated1160university students in Nanjing, Changzhou, Yangzhou, Yancheng, Jiangsu. I made gender and major norms of university students in Jiangsu. The results of this study follow as:Formal questionnaire includes6dimensions, every dimension has6items. Therefore, this scale has48items, and uses5-points to rate.9items has been changed.(2)6factors of scale internal consistency a ranged from0.839to0.901, the internal consistency averaged0.875, the internal consistency a for the total scale is0.956; The2-week test-retest estimates of18factor between0.796and0.876, test-retest estimates averaged0.861.(3) I study the content validity, structual validity, criterion validityof Chinese version. This scale is publicized in Journal of Vocational Behavior by Armstrong. Meanwhile, the content validity of this scale was good, according to Professor judgment. The structual validity of this scale was examined according to exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis. The KMO of this scale is0.916, Bartlett test of sphericity value is22791.019(p=0.000), six factors explained55.318%of the total variance, items are in the presumed dimensional, the loading of each items between0.656and0.758; Theχ2/df of this scale is1.747, the RMSEA is0.050.The criterion validity of this scale was examined according to concurrent validity. The results show that this scale differentiated different majors;and if participants’ occupational interest is congruence to their majors, they will be more satisfied with their majors.
