The reputation of a university mainly depends on its capacity to cultivate talent, for which the quality of college teachers’work performance is very important. Performance assessment of college teachers which is fundamental to promoting teaching excellence plays an important role in the management of college human resouces and college teaching has a significant contribution to the development of the university. This paper studies the comprehensive evaluation on the quality of college teachers’work performance, and according to the research, an effective comprehensive evaluation system for college teachers’teaching performance is designed.At first, the research discusses the significance and necessity of conducting comprehensive evaluation on college teachers’teaching performance. In this section, the auther takes advantage of literature retrieval method to investigate the development status of comprehensive evaluation, and discusses the feasibility of comprehensive evaluation applied in college teachers’teaching performance. Through the analysis of the research status of college teachers evaluation and the problems in these researches and evaluation practices, the paper studies the establishment of comprehensive evaluation index system and comprehensive evaluation method separately, proposes the precautions in evaluation practice and sets up the applied principles of comprehensive evaluation used in assessment of college teachers’ teaching performance.Next, the paper introduces the general theory and model adopted in comprehensive evaluation of college teachers’teaching performance, gives a detailed description on the mathematical tools in this research. On the basis of foregoing theory and studies, the article conducts the practice of combination of the general theory about comprehensive evaluation and the actual situation of college teachers’ teaching, establishes the index system and evaluation contents of comprehensive evaluation on college teachers’teaching performance, builds the applied model of comprehensive evaluation by AHP method and detailedly interprets the evaluation criterion.At last, the paper particularly introduces the application of comprehensive evaluation on college teachers’teaching performance in details and discusses the developing future of this field.
