Research Of Continuing Education Mode Of Industry Characteristic University

The industry characteristic university occupies an important position in China’s higher education system. It is a feature of China’s Higher Education Systems. In history, industry characteristic university relies on industry competent department to serve the corresponding industry. This constitutes the close contact with the industry and its discipline also has the characteristics and advantages of the industry. Continuing Education has always been an important topic in the education sector. Today, education is not confined to the diploma, but a better way to enhance their own. So in the situation of promoting life-long education, continuing education is particularly important. As the main body of continuing education, the industry characteristic university is a problem worth studying.This paper has a research and discussion on continuing education mode of industry characteristic university, including domestic and foreign. This paper summarizes the continuing education status quo of part of the industry characteristic universities, including Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, University of International Business and Economics, Beijing Jiaotong University, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. This paper analyze the common mode of continuing education in industry characteristic university:self-training mode, commissioned training mode. This paper innovatively use e3-value model to analyze the continuing education cooperation mode of the Cisco Networking Academy and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. It puts forward the third continuing education mode of industry characteristic university, which is the industry characteristic university can deepen the cooperation with enterprises to carry out an innovative school-enterprise cooperation training mode. It is the relationship between the four, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, students (industry employees), industry technology users and Cisco. In this mode, each main body exchange the value, so that each participant can benefit from it. At the end of this paper, there are five proposals to the development of continuing education mode in industry characteristic university:focus on the development of non-diploma training; enhance cooperation with industry leader enterprise; establish a high level faculty with industry experience; create a good industry teaching conditions; create training brand with the industry characteristics.
