Ideological and political theory courses as the main positions and channel ofideological and political education and moral education have great influence on theimprovement of college students’ ideological and political quality and moral quality.The teachers in teaching this course are direct decision makers and implementers ofideological and political education and moral education. They also play an importantrole in teaching activities and improvement for the situations and realizing the goalsof ideological and political theory. With the implementation of this course, thecourse categories and the number of the it have also changed. The implementationeffect of ideological and political theory courses lies in teachers concerned and thecoordination of all aspects of the teachers’quality.The teachers’ psychological quality as a core part of quality plays a dominantrole in other qualities, and drives the development of other quality. The teachersconcerned who cultivate good psychological quality help to ease the psychologicalpressure and enhance the mental health level, develop and excavate individualpotential, help to improve the effect of ideological and political theory courses andcontribute to the training of the students’ psychological health level.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction, it mainly introduces the basis and thesignificance of the selected topic, research status both at home and abroad, and theresearch mentality and methods, and the innovation points and difficulties.The second chapter introduces the role of teachers of this course and thepsychological quality that they should have. Teachers are learners of the theoryknowledge, the preachers of policies of our party,and moral norms and the guidefor students’ healthy growth through clear positioning. The teachers of Ideological and political theory course should have good psychological quality in these threeaspects such as cognitive ability, personality and ability to adapt.The third chapter introduces the current situation of the teachers psychologicalquality’. By analyzing the status quo, the reasons are very clear.The fourth chapter elaborates the goals and principles of cultivating teachers’psychological quality of Ideological and political education. The goals for thecultivation of teachers’ psychological quality are enhancing the level of mentalhealth, improving mental function and the developing of mental potential.Thefollowing principles should be persisted in this course:integrity, actively develop,practical, and difference.The fifth chapter is the focus of this chapter, combined with the positivepsychology knowledge, discuss ways of training teachers of Ideological and politicaltheory courses on psychological quality. From the three aspects of personalitypositive psychology and positive emotions and positive social organizations todevelop ideological and political theory course teacher good psychological quality.
