Research On The Intensive Utilization Of Rural Residential Area In Tongxu County

Land is the resources base of human survival and sustainable development, itsproperty of limited area and immovable location decide that it is a scarce naturalresources. With accelerated process of industrialization, urbanization in China,“empty villages”, larger and larger homestead area, excessive construction land percapita, housing layout messy, small scale and messy distribution village appear inChina’s vast rural areas since1980s, which has caused land resource waste, andimpacted on intensive use of rural land resources and the improvement of ecologicalbenefits. Land resources use, especially rural residential land resources intensive useaffects healthy and sustainable development of regional socio-economic and naturalenvironment directly, restricting achievement and implement of co-ordinationbetween urban and rural areas. Research of rural residential land resource intensiveuse has a strong practical and social significance in the case of conflict betweenhuman and land become increasingly acute. This paper takes rural residential landresource-intensive use of the object, to assesses rural residential landresource-intensive use, and carries out land consolidation, researches theory andmeasures of rural residential land resource-intensive use, on the one hand, which canimprove land use efficiency, ease contradiction of population and land resources, inother hand, improve living quality of farmers, complete the appearance of village,optimize allocation and rational use of rural land resources, achieve industrialization,urbanization and agricultural modernization coordination, finally, speed up theprocess of industrialization and rural urbanization.This paper can be divided into following7parts:1. Analyzing the grim situation of land resources protection, and conflictbetween rapid industrialization and urbanization process, according to China’s ruralresidential land resources development and utilization in this stage. Describing objectives, tasks and socio-economic background of this study. On the basis ofsumming up research literature at home and abroad about rural residential landresource intensive use, designing research ideas and technology roadmap, determininganalysis index system for benefit assessment, selecting region for case study,analyzing its representation.2. Defining basic connotation of rural residential land resources intensive usethrough comparative analysis. Carrying out research on rural settlements landresources intensive use with theory of land resources scarcity, land economic supply,diminishing land returns in economics, the theory of natural resources sustainable use,human-land co-ordination in geography, and Pareto optimality theory in management.3. Study on the patterns of rural residential land resources intensive use.According to physical geography and socio-economic conditions of case area, selectpattern for rural residential land resources intensive use in Tongxu County suited tolocal conditions.4. Study on benefit of rural residential land resources intensive use. This partassessed economic benefits of rural residential land resources intensive use from twoaspects: financial evaluation and national economic evaluation, evaluated socialbenefits of rural residential land resources intensive use with the indicators fromemployment increase of rural surplus labor, expansion of arable land area, increase offarmers’ income, calculated ecological benefits from environment cleanliness,greening and others.5. Explore the potentiality of rural residential land resources intensive use, takeTongxu County as a case area, on the basis of previous research, construct indicatorsystem of potentiality study, and calculate potentiality of rural residential landresources intensive use in Tongxu County.6. Calculate degree of rural residential land resources intensive use. According toresearch tasks and objectives, establish evaluation index system to research ruralresidential land resources intensive use of Tongxu County. Weights are given toindicators, calculate degree of rural residential land resources intensive use, assess thelevel of rural residential land resources intensive use in the study area with systematic analysis, expert scoring method and the hierarchy analysis method and multi-factorassessment.7. Case study in Tongxu County. Using above indicators, to analyze potentialityand benefit of rural residential land resources intensive use in Tongxu County,supplying scientific basis for decision making for land resources use.
