China’s economic development is faced with very severe challenges of populationaging is an indisputable fact. Change not only the population age structure of populationaging, but also through consumption, labor supply, labor productivity, investment inhuman capital and social and family old-age security to have a profound impact oneconomic growth and people’s lives. Description section of this study are based on thereality of China’s economic and social development, to expand the argument from atheoretical and empirical point of view on the impact of the aging of the population ofChina’s economic growth will be consideration of the economic perspective for theadjustment of China’s population development strategy.The backdrop of the aging of the population in the world today, based on the currentsituation characteristics of the relevant literature, the problem of an aging population andour population aging, population aging on economic growth.This article is divided into five steps. The first step to summarize the currentsituation of China’s aging population, characteristics reveal the reasons of China’spopulation age structure of the rapidly aging from the perspective of the demographictransition type, then the study of population aging concepts and indicators; the secondstep, the savings from consumption, labor supply and labor productivity, investment inhuman capital and social old-age security four ways on the impact of the aging of thepopulation of China’s economic growth will be described; the third step, the aging of thepopulation factors into the Solow model is derived population aging on the relevanteconomic variables; the fourth step is to investigate the mutual relations between ourpopulation variables and economic growth variables based on empirical research; fifthstep, the summary of findings and put forward policy proposals to deal with the aging ofthe population.
