The rapid globalization and massive transition in world tobacco industry havedeep influence on Chinese tobacco industry which has been apart from marketeconomy for long. International companies will bring a huge impact and challenge toChinese tobacco industry. Because of the increasingly intense competition, Chinesetobacco industry is concentrating on the corporate culture to raise its corecompetitiveness. National Tobacco Monopoly Bureau proposed the core value that ournation’s interest and consumers’’ interest are our top priority. This core value has beenset up as our basic principle in tobacco industry. Currently, corporate culture intobacco sector is in its infant period. Through a case study on Changsha Tobaccocorporations, this paper aims to establish an actual corporate culture system andpropose a scheme for execution plan.Firstly, the analysis on corporate culture of Changsha Tobacco Corporation isdivided into two parts: vertical analysis and horizontal analysis. The vertical analysismainly covers the history of Changsha Tobacco industry to obtain the unique culturalessence and to discover the growing pattern of Changsha corporations. The horizontalanalysis mainly involves the establishment of the appraisal index, individual culturalappraisement and comprehensive appraisal system on Changsha tobacco culture.Secondly, the external environmental analysis on Changsha Tobacco industry derivesfrom Hunan regional culture and tobacco industry culture and combines theappraisement from all the parties concerned to establish the cultural system ofChangsha tobacco corporations, including core value, corporate prospect, coreprinciple, corporate spirit and culture. Besides, the external environmental analysisproposes the progressive planand transmission strategy.
