China State Grid Corp is building to special high-voltage power grid as the backbone grid, strong grid coordinated development of power at all levels, using information technology, automation, interactive strong smart grid independent innovation, the international leading character. Distribution network is the end of the supply chain of the power system, is one of the important energy carrier directly facing the society and our customers, but with the gradual establishment of the continuous development of power system and power market, more and more weak links in the distribution network. Reflected in the recovery and processing, distribution load transfer problems after the distribution network fault. The function of feeder automation of distribution network is an important approach to automation and intelligence to solve the problem.Firstly, analysis and comparison of the current situation of domestic network development of distribution automation, feeder automation distribution automation and principle of the system are described in this paper. At the same time, a comprehensive learning at home and abroad based distribution automation construction management mode and experience, combined with the actual situation of distribution network in Shandong, according to the distribution automation planning, to improve the distribution network operation management level, improving power supply reliability and operation efficiency as the main target, according to the present situation and development needs of Shandong distribution network, power supply reliability and the operation and management requirements, and considering the distribution lines, communication network and switching equipment, selection of construction mode of feeder automation according to economical and practical, safe and reliable principle.Through the research and design of distribution automation system, speed up the distribution network fault isolation and recovery rate, achieve rapid load transfer and distribution network monitoring, bring the enormous economic benefits and social benefits for power supply enterprises.
