Practice Report On The Translation Of Social Science Academic Works

With the rapid development of China’s academic career, Academic translated are unableto meet the academic needs of the growing, Translation of foreign academic works become avery important tasks. The author took history, sociology, political science, economicsacademic as the practice object, summarized translation methods and techniques.This paper is divided into four chapters. The first chapter introduces the importance oftranslation of materials. Materials: Tadayoshi Murata "The Origin of Japan-China’s territorialissues"(2013); Yasuhiko Yuzawa " Say family issues by Charts "(1995); Ken Yonehara"Japanese political Thought"(2007); Iwao Nakatani " Macroeconomics entry "(2000).The second chapter describes the process of translation practice:1preparation stage,2translation stages,3revision stages. In the first phase, searched materials. In the second phase,used lots of dictionaries and networking tools. In the third stage, with the instructors wererepeatedly checking and proofreading.The third chapter sums up four common translation methods:1reverse translation,2slitting,3additions,4explain, and explore five translation skills:1as translated first, holisticthinking;2people and place names converted translation;3indirect Find terminology;4direct documents application;5caught long sentence’s trunk.The fourth chapter is a summary. First, to the preparatory work done before translation;Second, integration logic and structure of the sentence; third, loyal to the author’s writing style,and carefully proofread the translation.In the future, In the process of improve oneself level of translation, it is necessary tocontinue to broaden their knowledge, and should be studying more in depth, to establish owngood field of translation.
