| The Chinese characters is the most difficult part in Teaching Chinese as a second language. As everybody knows, the alphabets and Chinese characters are totally different in shape and structure, so American students often feel puzzled about learning Chinese characters. As a result, it is too difficult for them to study well. But for a qualified Chinese user, using the Chinese characters is one of the most essential skills. Therefore, if the teacher can do some researches about students’ writing errors, it will be very helpful to provide some reasonable teaching methods as well as improving the level of students’ acquisition of learning Chinese characters. This paper chose some students who studied Chinese in an American college as the main object. Besides, this paper will do some analysis about those students’ writing errors in terms of Chinese characters’ font, stroke order, stroke relations and components. At the same time, this paper also mentions some previous articles. Based on those researches, this paper will provides some methods about teaching Chinese characters in order to be able to give some implications for the future teach area. |
