As China’s international status is increasing, the upsurge of Chinese learning is rising in worldwide. The promotion of Chinese language is going all over the world.doing research about Chinese teaching in several regions can help to find out the shortages and give helpful suggestion in time.As the author is a Chinese language teacher in Kazakhstan, she has her own opinion about Chinese teaching of Kazakhstan and she also wants to make an effort to Chinese teaching. Kazakhstan has been paying more attention to develop relations with neighboring countries; China is not only the neighbor country of Kazakhstan, but also an important country with the regional and international influence power. As a result, China has been one of Kazakhstan’s foreign priorities. Within24years, bilateral relations have been developing steadily and quickly. More and more Chinese companies chose to develop in Kazakhstan. That’s why more and more employees who knows Chinese and Kazakh language are in need. It brings the upsurge of Chinese teaching. Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Kazakh Ablai khan University of International Relations and World Languages University of International Relations and World Languages are the first two universities started Chinese teaching. They have Chinese professional major and attract most students who wants to learn Chinese. In2004Al-Farabi Kazakh national university and Lanzhou University set up the first Chinese language center. The center was formally incorporated into the Confucius institute series in2005. Kazakhstan has four Confucius institutes in the universities such as:Karaganda state technical university、 Aktobe national Normal College、Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. Despite Chinese learning has become more and more popular in Kazakhstan it still has shortcomings. Kazakhstan Ministry of Education didn’t set the Syllabus of Chinese teaching, in that case university set up their Chinese teaching target, courses and evaluation way. Different university chose different teachers and texts which influenced the balance of Chinese teaching.This thesis has4chapters, first chapter is for the selected topic significance, research methods, research purpose and literature review. The second chapter mainly describes Chinese teaching of Kazakhstan The third chapter and fourth chapter is the focus of this thesis. The third chapter is to carry out survey of Kazakhstan Chinese teaching situation, the fourth chapter is the analysis of the investigation report and the suggestions.
