The Study On The Problems And Countermeasures About The Participation Of Urban Community Residents

Community self-government and participation of residents in cities is not only a significant element in China’s democratic construction at the grass-roots level, but also an important composition in the construction of well-off society in-round way. As the change process of urbanization and industrialization accelerates and community self-government develops, the problems of community self-government has attracted more and more outside attention. The result of community self-government relies heavily on participation of residents. Though the current conditions of residents’participation have improved to some extent, residents’participation is still the biggest issue that community governance faces. And needs further explore and research. Through integrating theoretic analysis with investigation on the spot, the reasons and disadvantages emerging in the course of current community governance were found out after intensive study of community self-government in Echeng District, Huaihua city. Through analysis of current reasons, some effective corresponding solutions and constructive proposals are proposed.This paper made the research of participation of residents in community self-government from the following aspects. Firstly, the concept analysis was made about community self-government and participation of residents. And that is foothold to the study. Second, the community self-government’s existing conditions in Echeng District, Huaihua city in the long course of development was summarized. Third, from subjective and objective factors and current system, the reason why the participation of Huaihua city’s people is not sufficient was analyzed Lastly, Countermeasures perfecting participation of residents in community self-government in Huaihua city were suggested. And it provides some theory and practice reference for participation of residents.
