The novel as a foreign literature works represent the classification, gets into our middle school Chinese textbook has been a long time, however, foreign literature works teaching doesn’t receive due attention. With the development of the western educational theory and the dissemination of new curriculum standard, the people gradually realized the importance of it, many scholars and teachers began to study, and has published numerous articles and books, the theory and practice research have obtained some achievements.This paper made the further development and discussion.This thesis consists of three parts. The first is the introduction and analysis of the current situation of the first chapter, briefly introduces the relevant academic research, this article discusses studies the topic’s significance of theory and practice. The second part of the thesis is the part of the body, including second chapters and four stanzas. Writer story into law, comparative law, problem, intertextuality teaching method four kinds of methods cited analysis elaborated the foreign novel reading teaching method. On the language teaching in foreign novel concept positioning, on entering the history of a simple sort, secondly on the reading theory are summarized, and the extraction of some of the literature text reading mode; to PEP Textbooks as example, analysis of foreign literature works in the existing problems, and pointed out that the actual process of teaching problems and causes, combined with the requirements of the new curriculum standard, put forward multi interpretation, comparative reading, text reading teaching strategies, and the combination of different genres of text aesthetic characteristics and puts forward the corresponding teaching methods. The third part of the thesis is the conclusion, references and postscript.Foreign literature teaching in high school would undertake the world literature works into our literature teaching system and organize the implementation of teaching task, appear particularly important, because it is not only related to our students in the future is a citizen of the world the concept of multiculturalism and humanistic spirit,but also determines our national culture and national spirit go, based on this, to explore high school foreign literature teaching strategies of the great and far-reaching significance. Attach importance to students of middle school foreign literature works of perception and understanding, through the understanding of heterogeneous literature words with formal beauty, beauty of structure, a symbol of beauty, edify sentiment, enhance students’ literary accomplishment, improve students as spirit of the individual should have the ability of aesthetic appreciation.
