By the end of the20th century, along with the deepening anddevelopment of the economic globalization and educational internationalization,Sino-foreign Cooperation in Running Schools (SFCRS) appeared. Especially since theaccession into WTO, Shanghai as China’s trade and economic center city, a greatvariety of Sino-foreign joint-run educational institutions have come into being likemushroom, specially in institutions of higher learning, SFCRS have achieved rapiddevelopment. The scale has been expanded gradually, and the levels have raisedcontinuously, a variety of models appeared. Meanwhile, the developments wereaccompanied with many new problems, such as the models of SFCRS, theadministrative problems in school and the educational sovereignty problems, etc.The existing researches have broad discussed and proposed some constructivestrategies and suggestions. However, for the lagging of theoretical research, theavailable researches fair to deeply explore the idea shock in cooperative schooling.Thus, those researches concentrate on the existing problems in SFCRS with specificregional observation and lack of general analysis. Furthermore, the perspective ofresearch is restrained in education itself, and few of the research methods ofeconomics and management have been applied in these studies.This dissertation first reviews the general situation of SFCRS in ourcountry and the related researches achievement. It categories and analyses thetheoretic basement of SFCRS, its present situation analysis, historical research,analysis the cooperation models of SFCRS, comparison of each models. It draws onthe successful experience at home and abroad, optimized school models and relatedsystem. At last, it gives strategies and suggestions that suitable for Shanghai’ssustainable development of the cooperation models of SFCRS.This paper is to study the models of cooperative education in Shanghai’sHigher Education, it consists of five chapters. Chapter One is the introduction, itanalyses the relationship between higher education internationalization and SFCRS,introduces the civil and foreign present research situation of collaborative institutions and the thoughts and methods that adopted in this study. Chapter Tworeviews the development history of SFCRS. It analyses the national situation of SFCRSgenerally and makes preparations for the following questions and strategy analyses.Chapter Three based on the analysis of current models of collaborative institutions inShanghai, it deeply discusses several successful cases of SFCRS. Chapter Four is thetheoretical analysis and discussion of models of SFCRS and highlights the means andmethods of SFCRS. Chapter Five introduces the suggestions for the sustainabledevelopment of the models of SFCRS. At last, is the conclusion and prospective.
