The family planning policy is published to avoid the explosive growth of population and make theChinese society become an "only child" society, which forms the special family structure called "singlesupport". This kind of triangle structure of the family has its obvious fragility."One child diedfamily"has become the sequela of this policy. The loss of those alone faces multiple challenges such aspension plight and psychological torture, which cause the loss of those alone stays on the brink ofcollapse. The "short board" of policy makes the ’’one child died family" become a special group in thesociety and results in some crises of a family in terms of the family life and psychology, which makethe unknown risks of a family. The decrease of economy can be remedied, but the spiritual trauma isassociated with the losses of those alones in their whole lives. Because the concerns about "one childdied family"have just appeared, the regime and the service are not yet mature. The one child diedfamily is still at the stage of self help and there is no one to guide them.In consideration of the suddenly missing of spiritual needs in the one child died family, this paperselects two cases of the one child died family, discusses them from the perspective of social workprofessional help, analyses the needs of the one child died families in depth according to the theory ofcognitive behavior, social support network theory, Ellis’s theory of "ABC" and structured familytherapy model as the theoretical guidance, taps the resources, guide to help them get out of the shadowstep by step and restore the confidence of life.Through a series of case works, the author concludes that their psychological problems of the lossof those alone concentrate in two aspects. One is the fact that loss alone is difficult to accept and theirrational beliefs dominate the thinking and action. The other is self sealing and refuses to communicatewith people. When the special servises are given for them, the author fully considers the specialemotional state and the ability to accept service of the loss of those alone, strictly abide by the ethics ofsocial work. After a period of intervention and follow-up, both of the situations of the two lost familycases has been effectively controlled and mitigated, the service objects are able to use the correct wayof thinking and return to the normal life industriously and actively. The author concludes someinspirations and suggestions to help the loss of those alone step out of mental troubles, which canprovide certain references for the case study of the one child died families in social work.
