The cultivation of innovative quality is the core issue of the new curriculum reform, thegeography teaching in the cultivation of students’ innovation quality is the core issue ofnew geography curriculum reform. In the process of curriculum reform, geographyteaching on the contradiction between students’ knowledge construction and qualitydevelopment. Under the baton of college entrance examination, many teachers may notbe a took the exam-oriented education ways to go in order to improve the students’ scoresfor the purpose of traditional education. According to this problem, I tried to from creationto foster innovative quality for the purpose of life patterns and class teaching and studentpractical way to solve this problem, is on the path of new new geography curriculumreform.In the geography teaching implement thoroughly the cultivation of student’sinnovation quality, then give students under traditional teaching classroom andextracurricular activities of innovative and transformation. This paper discusses the severalfactors about innovation quality, innovative spirit, innovative personality, innovativethinking, and their respective characteristics. Around these characteristics researchdiscusses the geography teaching approaches and strategies of students’ innovativequality training. In deal with the unity of "students as the main body and teachers as theleading question","the problem of the relationship between the standard education andinnovation education" and other five relations, on the basis of innovation from theestablishment of classroom teaching mode and innovative qualities of students cultivatinggeographical extracurricular practice two ways for the cultivation of students’ innovationquality, both in class and extracurricular practice from traditional learning activities in order to realize the students’ activities to the innovation to the thorough transformation of thelearning activities. From on the teaching strategy, mainly from the "rectification strategy"innovative quality training class to expounds the four aspects, such as, cultivate students’innovative quality strategy.Finally established the evaluation system, to ensure the efficient implementation ofthese measures.
