Since teachers’ ability and quality play a vital role in the development and progress of theeducational process, therefore in order to improve teaching standards and the quality of talentcultivation, the key is to build an excellent team of teachers, so as to improve teachers’ abilityand quality. With the continuous development of the information society, to improve the qualityof educational technology in order to meet requirements of the times has become the footholdof the educators.To effectively improve the educational technology quality of teachers in higher education,Department of Higher Education formally issued in2000," the Notice from Ministry ofEducation regarding the implementation of the faculties’ educational technology training",which indicates that educational technology has an important role in improving the teachingquality and promoting the modernization of higher education, that is why gradually improvingthe faculties’ educational technology training system to meet the development needs of highereducation has become an imperative. To be in line with the Notice and to respond to thenational call, Department of Education of Shandong Province released a notice regarding thedevelopment of modern educational technology training for university teachers in2007, whichstrives to complete the educational technology training work for the teachers in provincialuniversity in the next five years. But from the training practice, we can find that although thetraining activities were carried out in full swing, the training effect is unsatisfactory. Therefore,trying to look for strategies to improve the effect of educational technology training has becomea top priority.This study was carried out based on the article “To Build, Modify and Validate the Model ofEducational Technology Training for Faculties”, in which mentor and the seniors haveidentified four factors that have greatest impact on the training outcome through literaturestudies and structural equation modeling approach, including training objectives, trainingcontent, training teachers and training environment. Thus according to this conclusion and also combing with the characteristics of adult learning and related teaching principles, the studyintends to build a complete system of educational technology training for faculties, in order toprovide a basis for the follow-up training work, and to promote the improvement of trainingeffect. The main course of the study is as followed:First, determining the study contents and ideas by analyzing the era environment and then try tofind the entry point of the study based on the analysis of the research status. By combing withthe characteristics of adult learning, the study constructed the model of faculties’ educationaltechnology training, and found the main four factors that affect the training effect greatly.The next five chapters are research priorities, in which the researcher firstly made the valuejudgments and choices for the main four factors, including training objectives, training content,training teachers and training environment by using the method of philosophical speculationand then developed the construction strategies based on the value orientation that has beenselected. The researcher also made an verification of the training effect based on theKirkpatrick’s model, trying to find out the teachers’ learning effect on the behavior and resultlayers.In the end of the paper is the summary of the study and the vision for the future studies. Basedon the Marxist philosophy and system theory, the future studies probably can grasp the integrityof the faculties’ educational technology training to a greater extent and construct a morereasonable training system, thereby to improve the training effect.
