Studies On The Employment Issues Of Land Less Farmers

Landless farmers are derived in urbanization. With the accelerated process of urbanization, the number of landless farmers has been growing rapidly, and triggered a series of new social problems. In recent years, a growing number of petitions and disputes about land became the focus of networks and media attention. These issues have begun to affect the stability of society, particularly those affecting the livelihood and economic development in land areas.Through conducting social research and interviews in one of the Economic Development Zones in Changsha, this thesis studies the employment issues of the landless farmers. By analyzing the extensive research data, this thesis show that vocational education is the most effective way to promote the employment of landless peasants. Make full use of colleges, vocational schools, community groups and other resources under the existing social conditions, and improve employability and competitiveness of landless farmers to promote employment, so that we can speed up the transition of urbanization.The implementation of this resettlement also provides job opportunities for57.62%landless farmers. Particularly, with the help from the local government,19.56%the landless farmers can develop a certain size of business zone. Diligent working leads to prosperity, the landless farmers keep this motto in their mind, and22.82%carry out business, including restaurants, supermarkets, electrical and mechanical shops, which provides the convenience of city residents but also increases their own live wealth. These measures are very conducive to the promotion of farmers’ community transition. However, due to limited land idle in cities, these development modes do not work for long-term. This way of compensation under the market economy can be imposed to play more to promote employment initiative. This thesis investigates this compensation method and show that landless farmers will be employed under more by social relations and their own businesses in employment, especially land acquisition compensation also provides a start-up capital to entrepreneurs, and gradually form a new batch affluent people.
