Since the21st century, the rapid development of information technology, has led to the rise of online education, making higher education worldwide staged a global revolution of open education. In terms of traditional higher education, this is an opportunity but also a challenge.In2012, as the first year of MOOC, Massive Open Online Courses officially kicked off, and has become the new trend and the new tendency of the development of international higher education. Abroad a number of typical MOOC organizations and projects, Coursera is the most famous one, founded by professor Andrew Ng and Daphne Koller of Stanford University in United States. Today, the project has been impressive.In mid-2012, China also actively joined the big trend of the global open online courses, the Ministry of Education issued a notice named "quality resource sharing course building measures for implementation", make the national quality curriculum transformation and upgrading to quality resource sharing course. So far, China’s quality resource sharing course has taken shape, and there have been615on-line undergraduate courses, but in terms of the development and application of curriculum resources, there are still some problems.This paper begins with the concept of open online courses, and chooses the typical cases of Massive open online courses in colleges and universities of China and the United States, one of which is the United States’Coursera and the other is China’s quality resource sharing course, then uses the literature research to sum up the current situation of them, and eventually, determined the five dimensions, namely, teaching philosophy, curriculum resources, curriculum organization, learning evaluation and curriculum evaluation.Through comparative studies, draw inspiration for quality resource sharing course building from Coursera, and on this basis, summarizes the recommendations of the construction of quality resource sharing course:develop learner-centered curriculum resources to improve the coupling of learning resources and curriculum contents; to optimize learning resources for online learning and independent learning; pay attention to the timely update of resources, strengthen the teaching team’s guidance, organization and personalized service to the students; strengthen the designing of teaching interaction activities to improve the utilization of interactive platforms; establish a diversified and multi-agent learning evaluation system; simplify course construction review process, pay more attention to the assessment of user applications, implement the application evaluation of the courses.
