With the further development of curriculum reform, people gradually realize that the national curriculum cannot achieve the desired effect. Because Our country has massive land, and regional education condition is very different, only one textbook cannot adapt to the needs of all over the country area, in this case, in2001, the ministry of education promulgated the basic education curriculum reform outline (try out) which clearly put forward:"change the centralized condition of the course management, implement national and local, the school three-level curriculum management, strengthen course adaptability to local, school and students." Since then, school-based curriculum construction as a new round of basic education curriculum reform become an important goal. Nowadays, the school attaches great importance to school-based curriculum development, on the one hand they are struggling to pay special attention to the national curriculum, and on the other hand,according to the characteristics of the region,they are exploring actively the local characteristics of school-based curriculum, making every effort to meet students’diverse learning needs.This study includes the literature research, experimental method, questionnaire survey research methods and other research methods, and had carried on the practice research about geography school-based curriculum in the some middle schools. On the basis of literature, we elaborated the significance, the basic concept, the characteristics, the production and the present situation, the theoretical foundation and the orientation,the principles and course outline of school-based curriculum, and chose a middle school students as the research object of geography school-based curriculum development, respectively, practicing the school-based curriculum by two ways those are the dominant curriculum and hidden curriculum and in the process of practice attached great importance to five aspects those are the background analysis, course goal setting, curriculum content determination, specific implementation, course evaluation. By the development and implementation of school-based curriculum of the practice of Chaolai Forest Park beauty study,local cultural characteristics, The classification of school-based curriculum make school-based curriculum development have grasper, guide the development and practice of school-based curriculum in education theory, feel flexibility of the process of school-based curriculum development, and develop students’character, tap their potential, improve the abilities of teachers in curriculum development.
