Nowadays, with the society becoming more and more complex, one must meet the needsof society and has a certain ability to distinguish right from wrong. As a student, oneshould not only study science and culture, but also social skills. Only by studying theseabilities, one can better adapt to social life. With the deepening of the new curriculum reform,in order to adapt new curriculum reforms, ideological politics teachers not only need to impartbasic political theory knowledge to students, but also to develop the students’ various ability,especially the thinking and discriminating ability. In another words, cultivatingthe thinking and discriminating ability has the important theoretic significance and practicalvalue in teaching thought political lesson. Cultivating the thinking and discriminating abilitynot only can contribute to the thought political education theories, but also provide theessential references for teaching practice. It will help students to set up the correct outlooks onlife, value and the world, improve their abilities for raising, raising, analyzing and solvingproblems, obtain the necessary scientific and cultural knowledge, enhance their social skills,and educate the students with all-round development. In the process of study, this papercomprehensively adopts literature researches, educational investigation, observation surveyand multidisciplinary theory analysis, which makes the paper more persuasive.On the basis of analyzing the relate theories of thinking and discriminating ability, thispaper explores the necessity and feasibility, existing problems and causes to cultivate middleschool students’ thinking and discriminating ability in teaching thought political lesson fromthinking and discriminating ability.This paper consists of four parts.In the first part, this paper summaries the relate theories of thinking and discriminatingability. It mainly introduces the meaning and features of thinking and discriminating ability,and the main principles to cultivate students’ thinking and discriminating ability. Discussingthe relate theories of thinking and discriminating ability will lay a solid theoretical foundationfor cultivating students’ thinking and discriminating ability.In the second part, this part explores the necessity and feasibility to cultivate middleschool students’ thinking and discriminating ability in teaching thought political lesson. This part mainly discusses the necessity to cultivate middle school students’ thinkingand discriminating ability from the requirements of the characteristic of ideological politics,course objectives of ideological politics, teaching contents and teaching tasks ofideological politics. It also analyzes the feasibility to cultivate middle school students’thinking and discriminating ability from the best time provided by students’ thinkingdevelopment, good opportunity provided by curriculum standards of ideological politics,reliable guarantee provided by educational function of ideological politics, and advantagesprovided by thinking and discriminating contents in the text of ideological politics.In the third part,this part will analyzes the problems and causesof students’ cultivate thinking and discriminating ability in political lesson teaching. This thesis mainly analyzes the problems existing in middle school students’ cultivate thinking and discriminating ability in political lesson teaching from five perspectives in terms of the teachers, teaching contents, teaching methods, students themselves and class environment; it explores thecause of the problem from three aspects in terms of teachers, students and class.In the fourth part, this part discusses the methods to cultivate thinking and discriminatingability of middle school students in political lesson teaching.This part is the focus of this thesis. It mainly puts forward the specific training methods aiming at the problems and causes existing in middle school students’ cultivate thinking and discriminating ability in political lesson teaching. it mainly discusses from five aspects, including to strengthen teachers’ attention to students’ cultivate thinking and discriminating ability, to excavate the teaching contents containing speculative factors, to properly use teaching methods, to inspire students’ learning motivation and initiative, and to improve learning methods and structure the political class making for students’ cultivate thinking.
