The Reason Of Higher Vocational College Students Drop Out Of School And Its Solutions

The higher vocational education is an important part of our vocational education, in the transport of high skilled and applied talents for the social and economic development has made outstanding contribution.At the same time, the higher vocational education is the higher education system in an important one, plays a decisive role to the development of China’s higher education.Thus, the function of higher vocational education in the social development is more and more obvious.However,behind this a series of good momentum of development,there are also some problems,such as vocational college students dropout problem,on the one hand,this phenomenon hinders the higher vocational education in China’s sustained and healthy development,on the other hand,also has a bad effect on the students’ growth.In a manner of speaking, vocational college students dropout problem is an urgent problem in front of educators.Therefore, study the reasons for this phenomenon and how to resolve the problem of dropout students in higher vocational colleges has the very strong practical significance.This paper takes Chongqing x x Career Academy as an example, investigates the dropout students through the interview, analyzes the cause of the main reasons to drop out of school,and puts forward specific measures to resolve the problem of dropout students in higher vocational colleges.This study consists of four parts.The first part is an introduction, clears research background, significance,defines related concepts,reviews the existing domestic and international research and describes the research thought and method. The second part of the paper analyzes the example of the Chongqing Institute of vocational college students dropout situation, focuses on the differences between these dropout students in grade, professional, school semester and gender.and analyzes students drop out of school’s negative influence for the students themselves, families, schools and the whole society.The third part of the paper analyzes the interview data,refines the dropout reasons for these students in higher vocational colleges from three aspects of dropout students, school and society.The fourth part is based on the analysis on the third part,persists in people-centered education and serving people,seek the effective measures to resolve the problem of vocational college students drop out of school actively.Mainly includes the following points:bring up the students’ correct learning motivation, improve students’ comprehensive quality;polish up school management, improve the level of education;access to the parents of the students and social support.
