Study On High-speed Rail Freight Market Demand And Operation Mode In China

With the fast development of logistics industry in our country, rapid freight demand increases rapidly. Compared with other transport modes, high-speed railway is labeled with "high-speed, high-security and high punctuality" and other features, which ensure the quick delivery of goods to the destination in a specified time. Given to this circumstance, design and operation of the fast freight trains on high-speed railway is a useful exploration.Firstly, domestic and international situation of fast freight train operation on high-speed railway lines is studied. Combined with market surveys, research of the status and trend of freight transport in bullet train and railway express cargo transport is carried on. Secondly, in order to predict the market scale of rapid freight accurately, an extensive collection of information and in-depth market research are carried on. Focusing on market demand, the goods types, target customers and position of the rapid freight market are made clear. With SWOT, the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of high-speed rail freight are analyzed also. Then, the BP neural network is used to predict and determine the scale of the market. Finally, the share of high-speed rail freight in express transport market is obtained through the Logit model.The choice of operation mode is the preliminary work to determine the train operation plan. The four possible modes and their adaptabilities of high-speed rail freight train in China are summarized and the freight train model is selected as a case to study the operation scheme.
