As the start of the global energy interconnection strategy and the push of national supply-side reform, higher standards of requirements are placed on substation design and construction of power grid companies.Currently, the substation integration platform does not provide enough support for a variety of new business, and relevant in-depth research in this field is very scarce. Thus, this paper focuses on explorations of profound application of substation integration platform, and illustrates the author’s design ideas from the perspectives of overall framework, business application, data classification, technology framework, security composition and so forth.This paper starts from the smart substation demonstration, and explains the author’s exploration and understanding of 220kV smart substation’s renewed framework from the perspectives of substation small-sized application, innovative application of smart devices, deepened expansion of substation integration platform. It also introduces a feasible 220kV smart substation overall framework and its new development path based on current technical conditions.Targeting at the special needs of widespread access of distributed energy in Jiaxing Zhejiang, this paper presents its key research technology, the deepened application research of substation integration platform. This paper analyzes the shortcomings of current domestic research on substation integration platform, points out the strategic significance of the research work, and proposes several new types of substation integration platform based on the current "Three Flows in One" situation of substation integration platform.On this basis, the paper proposes a systematic design concept of substation integration platform deepened application, and illustrates the design ideas from the perspectives of overall framework, business application, data classification, technology framework, security composition and so forth. Meanwhile, it proposes a brand new design idea on the network security deployment and multi-majors systems integration of substation integration platform, initially completing the overall conception and imagination of the deepened system of substation integration platform.Based on the construction practices of integration platform in 220kV Jiaxing Qin Feng substation and adhered to certain advance awareness, this paper proposes concrete designs of substation integration platform deepened application from the three aspects of PV architecture micro-grid systems, micro-grid control and energy management systems, and substation wide-even wider integration protection system, focusing on functional design and underlying construction. Through engineering tests, the designs are well qualified for relay protection’s new needs out of widespread access of distributed energy and regional platforms. The designs achieve a considerable degree of exploration in the field, creating the new development space for the new generation of smart substation.Finally, the paper summaries the designs of deepened systems in 220kV smart substation integration platform, and the trends of technology development.
