This paper is a translation practical report consisted of a translation practice and a translation report, in which the object of translation are the chapter one and chapter two which are selected from On the Take: Criminalizing Illicit Enrichment to Fight Corruption by Lindy Muzila, Michelle Morales, Marianne Mathias, and Tammar Berger. Chapter one mainly introduces the concept of illicit enrichment, analyses the reasons for criminalizing illegal enrichment and introduces the origin and development of the offense of illicit enrichment; Chapter two mainly analyzes the definitions of illicit enrichment in international conventions and domestic laws, and its key elements, which are persons of interest, period of interest, conduct of enrichment, intent, and the absence of justification.The main contents of this practice report are divided into four parts: Part One is the translation project description, which consisted of project background, purposes, significance and structure of the project. Part Two is the background of the source text, including the introduction to the author, main contents of the source text, linguistic features and stylistic features of the source text. Part Three is about translation difficulties and translation methods, including translation difficulties, preparations before translation, translation theory and translation methods, which are amplification, replacement, conversion and syntactic linearity, inversion, division and synthesis translation. This part is the main body of this translation practice report; it demonstrates English- Chinese translation report with translation theory which supports author’s translation and analyzes the main translation methods and methodologies used in this report with some examples. Part Four is the conclusion, including the experience gained and some unsolved problems in the translation project.
