When more and more people are learning the second language, even the third, SLA has become one of the main areas in which scholars research. This translation report based on the translation of an academic paper entitled CLIL in Context:Profiling Language Abilities, which studies the effects of CLIL on EFL in a context of learning English as a world language.Readers of this paper may get to know some advance teaching approaches from other countries in the world after reading this paper and its translated version, and make use of some of the teaching methods to promote the progress of foreign language teaching. What the writer mainly solved include the translation techniques of complex words, terminology, long and difficult sentences, as well as special points which should be paid attention to while translating academic papers.This report was finished under a good study of the cultural diversity of both English and Chinese, as well as their similarities and differences of language expression, and upon which, the translator made some progress in the use of translation skills and my own translation competence.This report includes five parts. Chapter one introduces the content of the translation. Chapter two focuses on analyzing the features of the source text. Chapter three shows the translation process in detail. Chapter four analyzes the terms, complex sentences and the stylistic features of the source text. And the last chapter is a summary.
