Research On Migrant Children’s Social Support From The View Point Of Social Work

Along with the deepening of China’s reform and opening up andrapid development of our national economy, more and more rural population chooseto leave far away from their hometowns for the cities to search a better lifesurroundings and development space, which raises a fundamental social phenomenon---the huge “migrant children” group. On the whole,“migrant children” are at thebottom and the edge of city life and lack of social support make the “migrantchildren” face more and more adverse circumstance.Using C county in DingXi city as the research object, according to the researchon the current situation and problems of “migrant children”, from social viewpointand application the method of case social work, by family support and peer support,“migrant children” individual and families are involved to help case object improveconfidence, to strengthen the enthusiasm for life and learning and to promote thedevelopment of parent-child relationship. The research helps to explore social workmethod of strengthening migrant children’s social support in practice and solve theproblem of “migrant children” by application concept and skills of social work idea.
