Study On Communication And Coping Strategies Of Public Opinion On Weibo In Emergencies

Development of digital technology and information networks, making more andmore new media applications gradually replacing the dominance of traditional media,and increasing influence on people’s daily life.In recent years, weibo, as a typicalrepresentative of the new media, has a rapid rise, and owned a large population ofInternet users, because of its superior characteristics of the media.Through the openplatform, the public can speak freely "holding a microphone", communication withstrangers, conducted small-scale agenda setting or create personalized individualcommunities.In here,"Being famous overnight " and "A hundred responses to asingle call" is possible.In recent years, emergencies happened frequently in China, whether naturaldisasters or public event, weibo has played an essential role in the dissemination andproliferation-related information.Among them, the weibo public opinion, as allcomments on the weibo platform generated in emergencies, presented such differentcharacteristics comparing other other traditional public opinion and network publicopinion in many different.And also, it has social a huge impact on the developmentand the process of resolving emergecies, which has great academic value of researchand srategy.In this paper, I take a typical case "Xiangtan Maternal" event happened recentlyas the carrier for my study, and take the weibo public opinion as the research object,using literature analysis and content analysis.On the one hand, combined with the lifecycle theory, I study on the propagation characteristics and evolution of theexploration stage of weibo in emergencies the and.On the other hand, by analyzingtweets to highlight the influence of propagation factor, I summed up the positive andnegative impact of weibo public opinion bringing to emergencies, and tried to makesome good recommendations of monitoring and responding for the related subjects,in order to offer them theoretical reference and examples to respond the weibo publicopinion in emergencies effectively.
