Textbooks are an important resource for the implementation ofthe new curriculum, teachers and reasonable use of the textbookcurriculum reform is the key to success. In order to understandthe basic situation of Southeast Area High School math teachermaterials used in this study combing through the existing researchresults, and to build a theoretical framework for the study. Onthis basis, from the teachers’ familiarity with the teachingmaterial and new curriculum standards, in terms of the use ofteaching material, teaching methods, different types ofdifferences in the use of mathematics teachers teaching situationssuch materials for teachers use to investigate. The mainconclusions of the study are as follows:1. The majority of teachers are more familiar with the high schoolmathematics curriculum standards and its textbooks; also, they aresatisfied with the modular teaching materials are basically as well.However, in their opinion, the quantity of the teaching materialcontent is too much, and the upward spiral of textbook writing styleis not totally acceptable.2. The majority of teachers will refer to the course standard inthe analysis of teaching materials, identifying the curriculum standard textbook as the "source"; besides, it also points out theobjectives and standards students need to reach.3. The majority of teachers will consider the differentcircumstances of the students in the use of materials, so that theyare able to deal with them properly.4. In the use of materials, the majority of teachers would make aproper alteration of the teaching content according to the need ofteaching, but they are not good at optimizing and integrating theteaching content; moreover, they are lack of independentdevelopment of teaching resources.5.The majority of teachers’ teaching styles have changed. There ismore time for students to think in the class."Student-centered"concept has become a trend in class now.6. There is little significant difference in the use of curriculummaterials between teachers who have different backgrounds. But somedifferences do exist between the teachers of different gender,different types of school teachers and teachers of different agein the proportion of some aspects of the use of textbooks. Thesedifferences are mainly focused in "the status and role of theanalysis of the teaching content","analysis of basic skillsteaching content requirements","analysis of typical material",‘the alteration of the teaching content "," the overall perspective of curriculum materials”.The survey also found some specific problems, some suggestionsare offered for the teachers, the textbook editors and teachingdepartments as references.
