In recent years, the employment of college students is becoming more and more serious. The cause ofthe difficult employment, not only lies in the enrollment of college, which brings an increase in the numberof college graduates, and the reform of employment system. The current college students having no clearcareer planning on their own is also an important aspect. Career planning courses’ establish is an importantway and method to improve the university students’ career planning consciousness and ability, to plan theircareer legitimately, and to solve the employment problem. This is why in recent years career planningcourse is set up in college, and is also the reason of this research.Previous studies of career planning course present a situation of emphasis on theoretical analysis butneglect of empirical investigation and focusing on foreign experience but ignore of the research status ofdomestic. Based on this research status, this study, taking Henan University as an example, analyses thestatus and problems of career planning course in colleges and universities deeply through investigation andstudy, and put forward some optimization strategies combined with relevant experience of colleges at homeand abroad.The study found that students generally think it is necessary to set up the career planning course, butthe current opening situation is far from satisfactory. The following are problems: attention to the careerplanning course is not enough; the content of the course is boring and the teaching methods is monotonous;the course’s guiding concept positioning is not clear; the structure of teachers is not perfect and lackfull-time teachers; the curriculum has no effective management and supervision mechanisms; studentsdon’t have enough understanding and attention to career planning courses.Course construction itself is very important to curriculum optimization.Promote the status ofoccupation career planning curriculum, can not only improve the attention that student pay to the course,but also motivate teachers to make the curriculum related fields are systematic, professional, scientific.While in the advancement, the occupation career planning curriculum should highlight the demand-orientedand practical, improve curriculum and teaching content, reduce empty boring theoretical introduction andincrease the reality cases and materials. In addition, universities should reform the teaching mode by theorystudies, case studies, practical operation, etc. According to the characteristics of the individual, conductpersonalized, participatory teaching to enable students to fully participate in the teaching process.The quality of the teaching effectiveness is reflected from teaching evaluation. The occupation careerplanning curriculum should break the previous top-down evaluation model, and construct comprehensiveteaching evaluation system. To understand the teaching effect, we can combine the student self-evaluationand the developmental evaluation, and according to the overall perception and evaluation of their studentslearning situation. Curriculum development cannot do without the perfect security system. The funds, professionalteachers and adequate support are particularly important. Colleges and universities should change thepresent situation that teachers are composed of counselors and part-time teachers, and make theprofessional teachers implement this important course. Whether Course construction itself, or optimizationof the faculty, are inseparable from the support of adequate funds. To ensure the smooth implementation ofcurriculum, colleges and universities should pay attention to the capital investment of the occupation careerplanning curriculum.In a word, we should stand in the lifelong development of occupation rather than just the employmentlevel, really understand and improve the important position of the occupation career planning curriculum.At the same time, continue to study the existing problems, and to optimize the curriculum.
