In our country, the special school for intellectual disability has more moderate and severe disabled children, they have disabilities in the field of cognition, sports, social interaction, need to have someone to support their life and learning. In other countries, the persons who have special education backgroud are the assisting teachers in the special schools.they provides study and life support to the special children. and in our country, many special schools hire child-care workers to assist teachers, in order to reduce the pressure of the special teachers, but it can not satisty the needs of the special children. Therefore, the special schools ask the parents of moderate and severe special childern into the classroom to assist their children with their life and study. The parents’ performance in the classroom mainly rely on their abilities of assisting teaching. Parents not only need to take care of their children’s life, also cooperate with the teachers in the classroom. Based on the above consideration, special schools need train the parents to improve their teaching aid as the paraprofessional teachers.The study investigates ten persons of accompanying studying and eleven special teachers, in order to know the special school’s current situation and problems of the accompanying studying. Base on the results of investigation,choose two persons of accompanying studying to training their assisting teaching ability with the DITM training mode. The DITM training mode is different with the traditional training mode,change the previous only knowledge teaching mode of training, combine the knowledge teaching with practice demonstration, guidance and feedback mode in training. To explore whether the DITM training mode is effective to improve the persons of accompanying studying’s ability.The results show that:1.Through investigation:persons of accompanying studying in the special school for intellectual disability mainly are special children’s parents and the child-care workers hired for children’s families; The children with emotional behavior problems and self-care problems need the persons of accompanying studying. Most persons of accompanying studying just assist the children’s life, seldom provide the support of teaching to children. Therefore the special schools need to train the persons of accompanying studying to improve their assisting teaching ability.2.DITM training model can effectively improve persons of accompanying studying’s teaching ability, improve the special children’s involvement in the classroom.
