In the ear of knowledge-driven economy, education has become the main measures to improve country’s competition. Especially as a key method, to improve basic education quality is the key point for all country’s education reform. In 2008, Thailand ministry of education started a new round of basic education reform and issued Basic Education Core Curriculum. As the framework document of Thailand, it is not just embody nations will but rule all the spheres of learning standards and learning index. The document guides the process of standards learning, teachers teaching, learning evaluation and education management. So this paper is trying to make an objective text analysis for the Basic Education Core Curriculum and know the up to the date trend and curriculum features of basic education in Thailand.This research are mainly make an introduction for the background, objectives and principle for the Basic Education Core Curriculum and make a summery for the Basic Education Core Curriculum 2008 feature. The paper are including 5 parts:Part 1:introduction, including the origin of the study; core concepts defined; domestic and foreign research reviewed.Part 2:the research analysis from the socio-economic development, international curriculum reform of the basic education in Thailand.Part 3:mainly introduced the basic education of the core courses of training goal and the principle of formulation and implementation. There are five aspects including training objectives, the specific content of the training objectives and specific provisions under the eight students should possess important quality; In terms of formulation and implementation principle, on the basis of the six general principles, the teaching schedules, teaching management and teaching resources three aspects has carried on the detailed introduction.Part 4:mainly introduced the basic education of the core courses of the eight learning areas and the corresponding criteria and indicators for learning. Learning standards mainly for Thai, mathematics, science, social studies, religion, culture, health and physical education, arts, eight professional skills and foreign language learning in the field of learning standards; In learning index method, introduced the elementary school six age 10 to 12 age and middle school students study in various fields of study.Part 5:on the basis of the previous part of the carding and analysis, this study summarizes five Thai the characteristics of the basic education of the core courses:the nation for this, the Thai body for use; Attaches great importance to moral education, highlight the characteristics of religion; Take the student as the center, focus on students’ development; Curriculum implementation of flexible and diverse learning mode; Science education evaluation, pay attention to students’ participation.
