In the long river of history, a great deal of literary works at all times and all over the world have disappeared. But classical Chinese poetry is still illuminating as heavenly galaxy, sparkling and everlasting after the elutriation and polishing of the space-time. The classical Chinese poetry is the high cohesion of Chinese humanistic spirit, which contains the personality ethic, the interest feelings, the noble character and aspirations to pursue of our ancestors.The classical Chinese poetry which is coded in the Chinese textbook is not only concise with beautiful melody and brief with profound mood, but also possesses rich and colorful humanistic spirit. The Chinese teachers are supposed to excavate the connotation contained in the poetry. Thus the students can gain spiritual growth within the humanistic environment, can build the right view of life, world and values, and can nourish and warm the whole life.Considering the current situation of the classical Chinese poetry teaching, although the teachers have paid attention to the cultivation of the students’ humanistic spirits, there still exist some problems and deficiencies. Comparative method and summarizing method are adopted in the whole study. Firstly, the author probed into the origin of Chinese humanistic spirits, then analyzed the relationship between the classical Chinese poetry teaching and the humanistic spirits. After that, the author did analysis about the classical Chinese poetry compiled into the three versions of Junior high school language teaching material and summarized the humanistic spirits contained in the material. Simultaneously, according to the statistics of test questions in the ten years’ senior high school entrance examinations, the author listed the teaching case and analyzed the problems in the classical Chinese poetry teaching and the causes. The author try to solve the problem with the means of paying more attention to the classical Chinese poetry teaching, improving the teaching methods and comprehensive quality of the teacher.
