The new curriculum reform advocates attention to students’ subject status and fulldevelopment of their personalities so as to improve their comprehensive ability and quality.This goes against the focus more on the theoretical knowledge than active practices duringknowledge learning. As a result of the lack of interaction but more attention to one-wayteaching, the students’ comprehensive practical ability can not be quickly improved. Theunilateral teaching methods are still used in most schools, and the teacher always dominatesthe class, while the students lack the initiative to interact, so their subject status is notreflected.Increasingly driven by the social rapid growth and economic globalization, the politicallesson in secondary vocational schools should optimize and reform their teaching methods inorder to train more high-quality talents. To date, under the development of national economyand constant improvement of the system, vocational education has also ushered inopportunities of vigorous development. Under such social background, the political lesson insecondary vocational schools is confronted with the predicament of improving teachingeffectiveness. The political lesson in secondary vocational schools is abstract in content,theory-oriented and boring. But every theory has colorful forms of expression in reality. If thepractical examples which are existing in students’ daily life can be used to explain the dulltheories, they will become crystal clear with more active class and better teaching effect. Caseteaching method which is contained in this research will create a comfortable andreality-reflecting teaching scene by presenting acceptable cases in reality to students. After theanalyses of students, the theories in the book will combine with cases, which is easy forstudents to understand the theories and greatly improve their ability of analyzing cases,broadening horizon and solving practical problems at the same time. Therefore, the quality ofself-exploration, communication and cooperation will be cultivated so as to lead to asatisfactory teaching result and complete the political lesson’s final goal of educating people.There are four parts in this paper:The first part is introduction which mainly elaborates the background and significance ofcase teaching method, principal methods to study case teaching method and the status andapplication in home and abroad. The second part focuses on the concepts relating to the case teaching and the theoreticalbasis support the case teaching as well as application values included in political lesson insecondary vocational schools. Analysis the phenomenon by three-dimensional aspects as theacquisition of knowledge, the training of ability and the improving of class efficiency. Thepaper summed up the case teaching method contributes to improve the speed for student toaccept and access to knowledge. It helps students to integrate theory with practice andstimulate awareness of innovation and progression, and improve the overall quality ofstudents and classroom learning efficiency effectively.The third part through field questionaires for students, interviews with teachers and ownteaching practices to analysis the case teaching application in political lesson in secondaryvocational schools detailedly. It concludes the urgent problems existing in political lesson insecondary vocational school from following four aspects: the current objective conditions ofeducation, the teacher’s own quality, students participate actively extent and specificimplementation steps of cases.The fourth part discusses how to use and improve the case teaching based on the improvingof objective conditions, the teachers, students and case teaching specific implementationaspects. Using this teaching method can promote political teaching effectuall and has greatadvantages in terms of imparting knowledge and improve the quality, then we need to try andimprove continuously.
