In2006, the ministry of education, ministry of finance, ministry of personnel, central staffing department jointly issued the "rural compulsory education school teacher AD hoc post plan implementation plan, improve the overall quality of the contingent of rural teachers. To a certain extent, teachers solved the problem of insufficient amount of rural teachers on the quantity, but the teachers quality and level of high and low is the key to improve the quality of rural education.Therefore, to discuss and analysis the current problems existing in the primary school teachers’ professional quality is of great significance to improve the teachers’ own quality.Due to the characteristics of teachers themselves and the restriction of various external conditions, teachers exist a serious problem in reality. Firstly, this study combed the theory of teacher professional development achievements in reference on the basis of the theory of teacher professional development, according to the characteristics of the primary school teaching and summarized the primary school, teachers should have professional structure, such as professional spirit, professional knowledge, professional ability structure.Secondly, this paper selected30county towns primary school teachers as the research object to investigate the present situation of Gushi county primary school teachers’professional quality, through the methods of questionnaire investigation, interview.Thirdly, on the basis of analysis of the status quo the Gushi county primary school teachers’professional quality, put forward a problem about the elementary school teachers’professional development, and analyses the reasons of the problems, such as: lack of professionalism.Professional knowledge is not balanced;The teaching ability is weak;Teaching evaluation is unitary;Education scientific research ability is weak, and so on. Finally, according to the survey based on the analysis of causes of existence, put forward to improve the present situation of Gushi county teachers’ professional quality in primary school from three aspects:society, school and individual respectively.
