Theoretically if all kindergartens reach the national standard, than the size of the kindergarten should be irrelevant to the development paths available. However, unfortunately this is not a reality, and small sized kindergartens do not have the development opportunities that medium or large sized kindergartens have. This is evident in various areas, and ranges from small to large scale issues; examples are the speed in which teachers grow and develop their teaching skills within the classroom and extend to larger issues such as the social and cultural influences of the smaller schools within the community. In N sixty percent of Kindergartens are small sized, but despite this parents would prefer to send their children to larger preschools. A downside to this is that they happen to be further away and parents are faced with anxiety over the decision making process. Parent’s preference for larger preschools also makes it harder for small sized kindergartens to achieve “balanced development”, and provide the community with a high quality kindergarten close by.Recently, international research conducted mainly in America and England has reported that there is no relationship between quality development and the size of schools. These studies have made advocates of the advantages of small sized schools, and make us question what are the real difficulties small schools face, and the different benefits of attending a small or larger school. Firstly we must recognize two different types of kindergartens(public and private), which were randomly chosen during this research. SWOT analysis was used to assess both the external and internal advantages and disadvantages of the two kindergartens and the opportunities and pressure they faced. As a result strategies were developed to target the common problems faced by small sized kindergartens. This research is divided into five sections”1. Brief Introduction: assess the development history of different sized kindergartens.2. Introduction: analyze common problems of the small sized kindergartens in developing, and demonstrate that the development of kindergartens is not restricted by the size of theschool if it works under the standard conditions.3. Analysis: analyze developing status of the X, Y small sized kindergartens: Investigate thekindergartens deeply and sort out the developing status of the small sized kindergartens atpresent.4. Further Analysis: examine the two types of kindergartens with SWOT analysis: assesthe collected materials thoroughly with the SWOT analysis such as; the internaladvantages and disadvantages of the two kindergartens, and the external opportunitiesand pressures faced by the schools.5. Results: Present the results of the SWOT analyze, and describe the developing strategiesto the small sized kindergartens providing internal change and external support.
