Drama is a comprehensive art stage. It through artistic means such as literature,music, dance, art to shape the character image, revealing social contradictions, reflecting social life, is a kind of independent art form. Drama literature in middle school’s Chinese teaching is one of the four literary genre, has not been with poetry, prose and novels equal attention, embodied in the chosen drama literature in the proportion of material is small,besides because of tests, the entrance examination seldom involved in drama and do not take the lead to teachers teach, students do not take the and so on. World famous British drama. In the UK, long drama culture traditional culture has long been popular in school ethos of drama education, characteristics of drama activities are well. By comparing the Chinese and British high school drama teaching, can draw lessons from other countries in the teaching of drama some advanced teaching ideas and teaching mode, also hope to cause the middle school language teacher teaching further attention and research in the theatre.The first chapter, the introduction part. Main elaboration selected topic reason and subject value and relevant literature review.The second chapter, the prevue of teaching high school drama. From the teaching content, curriculum and teaching material and so on three aspects prevue respectively Chinese and British high school drama teaching.The third chapter, selecting some Chinese and British high school drama teaching case from teaching goal, teaching content and teaching methods in three aspects, such as comparison, comparing the two countries in the teaching of middle school plays them.The fourth chapter, the differences between Chinese and British high school drama teaching to explore the cause of, mainly from the social cultural background, curriculum standards, curriculum, understanding of the role of drama teaching, teaching evaluation and so on several aspects to search for the answer.The fifth chapter, puts forward Suggestions and ideas about the present situation of the Chinese drama teaching. Mainly from the curriculum, teaching materials, teaching level to the British middle school drama teaching learning its relatively perfect and mature,teachers should attaches great importance to the teaching of drama in the attitude,refinement in the curriculum standard for drama study requirements, set up scientific evaluation system, increase the number of selection of drama and variety, and the reasonable arrangement. Teaching content should be on the learning of knowledge teaching and plays itself, drama teaching should take more flexible teaching methods, not just confined to the text analysis.Late modern drama was introduced into China, therefore drama in high school teaching should pay attention to our country’s social and cultural background and students learn to reasonable arrangement of teaching content and teaching methods, on the basis of the comparison of organic to absorb and draw lessons from foreign good experience to explore the effective way of high school drama teaching in China.
