In vocational school for administrative staff performance appraisal is more and more specifications, evaluation system is becoming more and more perfect, but for the vocational school teaching management of colleges and position of the teacher’s job performance evaluation, by contrast, is slightly less than. Teaching management in colleges and universities management occupies the important position, they have played an important role in connecting teaching each link, only the efficient teaching management staff can fully guarantee the normal operation of the daily work. In recent years, China’s higher vocational the school’s hardware and software conditions have been greatly promoted, and bear the important task for the construction of the local economy. So, for how to improve the higher vocational school teaching of colleges and a contingent of professional management level, to strengthen the performance appraisal of them, higher vocational school is urgently in need of solution at present stage is important issue.This paper is based on two inspects of theory and practice. We introduce the related concepts, principles and methods of performance appraisal. We relate theory of performance appraisal and higher vocational teaching management personnel of colleges and combining the actual situation of performance appraisal. Combining with the characteristics of higher vocational(specialist) school, to which school teaching management as the research object of the research field, through interviews, questionnaire survey and so on in order to get detailed information, and in combination with related literature, expounds the present status of the performance evaluation of similar colleges and universities in China, and aimed at some common problems were analyzed, in reference to the performance evaluation of colleges and universities at home and abroad, under the excellent experience of the teaching management personnel performance evaluation system is optimized.This article is divided into four parts: The first chapter analyses the relevant theory of performance appraisal; The second chapter analyses the current situation and problems existing in the teaching management personnel performance appraisal in vocational school; The third chapter analyzes the performance appraisal of universities at home and abroad, and sums up the beneficial experience of performance evaluation of colleges and universities; The fourth chapter made an optimizing research in the performance appraisal system of vocational School. Hope through this study can be a specialist in the teaching management staff performance appraisal provide certain help.
