So far, the implementation of curriculum reform has been over a decade. It is an overall reform in the field of elementary education propelled from the central to the local, and also a historical choice to fully promote the quality education. However, the reform is not easy and trouble-free, there are always some inevitable problems occurred in the process of the implementation in various regions.By taking Shijiazhuang Y Middle School as respondents and using research methods like literature research method, interview method, questionnaire method, observation method and etc, in order to fully obtain all kinds of literature and primary data. And with the guidance of 2011 music curriculum standards, the research result is analyzed and rethought. In addition, by combining the characteristics of music subject, psychological characteristics of junior middle school students and the actual school situation of Y Middle School, it tries to explore the theoretical and practical solutions to the problems occurred in junior middle school music class teaching from the curriculum view of postmodernism, hoping to improve the quality of junior middle school music class teaching in compulsory education and to let music subject to be able to play a better role in developing student’s subjectivity, creativity and aesthetics in basic education.This paper is divided into three parts: in the first part, the junior middle school music teaching under the new curriculum standards is discussed, the junior learning phase of 2011 music curriculum standards is interpreted, and the basic requirements of junior middle school music class teaching is proposed by combining the characteristics of the music subject and the learning psychology of junior learning phase; in the second part, the status of junior middle school music class teaching in Shijiazhuang Y Middle School is researched and then analyzed and summarized, and by mainly using the literature review method, questionnaire method, interview method and etc., the external environment of music class teaching in this school, the main aspects of music class teaching, and the implementation of new curriculum standards of music class teaching, as well as the basic learning situation of students in music class are surveyed and their results are analyzed; and in the last part, solution to junior middle school music class teaching reform under the new curriculum standards is proposed, which a targeted solution to music teaching problems mentioned in first two parts based on the existing conditions of this school and combining the new curriculum standards and some excellent teaching ideas.By researching and analyzing the junior middle school music class teaching in Shijiazhuang Y Middle School and exploring the solution, the author hopes to rethink the problems occurred in the implementation of music curriculum standards, promote the smooth implementation of compulsory education music curriculum standards in middle schools in the city of Shijiazhuang, and effectively play the important value of music subject in quality education.
