With the quality education being carried out continuously with the continuous development, people’s conception of education in continuously updated, the importance of junior high school music curriculum gradually emerged, which traditional music in junior high school music curriculum has a important status and significance. Opera music is the essence of traditional music, contemporary junior high school students to the opera music is not much contact. At present, the school’s opera music teaching situation in various regions of our country, still presents an unbalanced state, regional differences, urban and rural differences still exist. Due to various reasons, there are still many defects and limitations in music quality education in junior middle school. The existence of these problems, hinder the implementation of the development of talent policy in all aspects of our country, is not conducive to the development of teaching work, it is worth more attention.Music education is the main component of the contemporary quality education, facing all the students. Opera music with its unique charm, infection, the influence of the junior high school students, so, music educators to clear the essence of the traditional opera music learning, in the teaching process, to guide students to study and explore. From the current situation, explore a new model, the new method, so that music teachers to guide their children to understand the true meaning of the expression of traditional opera music and its connotation.Based on a comprehensive survey of several junior middle school, this paper analyzes the present situation of the teaching of traditional Chinese opera music, and finds out the corresponding teaching strategies and methods.
