The aerobics course plays an important role in enhancing students’ constitution, improving their health, shaping their healthy body, advancing their ability of aesthetic and promoting and promoting students’ mental quality development. Nowadays, the aerobics course is not only necessary in school’s Physical Education(PE) teaching, but one of beloved exercise methods for students in extra-curricular activities. With the deeper development of PE teaching reform, there is unbalanced development in aerobics course teaching innovation among different Higher Vocational Schools. Based on Higher Vocational Schools PE teaching practices and judging by the new Curriculum Standards of PE and Health and The Teaching Program for National College Physical Education Course, this research analyzed the aerobics teaching status quo of preschool education in Higher Vocational Schools in Zhangjiakou District. This research proposed the strategies for aerobics reform and development starting from establishing high quality courses and provided relevant basis for aerobics course establishment and reform.This research adopted the method of documentary analysis, questionnaire, interviews with experts and mathematical statistic method to investigate the situation of aerobics courses in preschool education in Higher Vocational Schools in Zhangjiakou District. The results shows:(1) The aerobics courses in in preschool education in Higher Vocational Schools in Zhangjiakou District are mainly optional courses and selective course and the participants are female students of preschools;(2) There are enough aerobics teachers in this district. The teachers are young, whose teaching seniority are short and whose professional titles are low relatively. The teachers need to improve their academic levels and their research capacities. There are also the irrational proportions of male and female teachers;(3) The aerobics teaching program of preschool education is the same as other professions in this district. There are fewer theory hours of aerobics and the teaching contents are simple and lack of utility. There is almost no aerobics knowledge for children aiming at preschool education. In terms of teaching process, most teachers adopt the traditional teaching methods, a few teachers are able to improve the teaching methods to meet the needs during the teaching process;(4) On account of coming from different provinces and districts, the students’ aerobics basis are uneven for preschool education in High Vocational Schools. The students enjoy taking aerobics course and “Hobbies and Interests” “Shaping the Body” are the main reasons for them selecting the course. Most students are satisfied with the aerobics teachers and only 3% are unsatisfied.(5) The venues and facilities in High Vocational Schools in Zhangjiakou District are not very well and the equipment are inefficient;(6) The preschool education students’ aerobics levels occupy an important position in the need of markets and business processes.According to the status quo of aerobics courses of preschool education in Higher Vocational Schools in Zhangjiakou District, this research provided five strategies for course reform and development:(1) Improve the teaching program of aerobics courses;(2) Strengthen the cultivation and development of teachers;(3) Innovate and reform the aerobics course teaching methods, namely: establish the module teaching model of group class and “the combination of group class and collective class”;(4) Make the teaching content “infantilization” “standardization” and “totalization” based on the characteristics of preschool education and students abilities; try to add the teaching content in terms of movements for children and the music for children’s aerobics;(5) Strengthen the cooperation of schools and companies and concentrate on social practices.
