The oral communicative ability is essential in life, but the oral communication teaching is being stalled and hard. In this paper,using the senior high school Chinese textbook published by People’s Education Press as an example to make a questionnaire survey on some of regions covering the textbook. Based on the survey data, to analyse the problems and causes in Chinese oral communication teaching of senior high school at this stage and to figure out the strageties and methods that can improve it. This paper is presented in five parts:The first part of research overview mainly includes the study history of domestic oral communication teaching and the concepts and methods that can be referenced from foreign countries. The second part of it briefly explains the properties, feature and instructional theory basis concerning oral communication. The third part takes a random sample on students and teachers who use Chinese textbook published by People’s Education Press from part of schools in Anhui province. The forth part analyses the reasons that cause problems during questionnaire survey, which mainly includes the difference of teaching objectives between teachers and students, insufficience of textbook arrangement, the lack of initiative and proper learning method for students, outdated teachers’ concept andinappropriate training mode and defective evaluation system. The forth part is the oral communication teaching strategy suggested according to the third part, which includes improving textbook arrangement,stimulating students interest, changing teacher’s idea, improving teaching model and perfecting evaluation system. The fifth part is the conclusion of the paper.The paper deals with oral communication teaching from several aspects including textbook arrangement, students, teachers and evaluation system.
