The mathematics homework is to consolidate the students learning content. It is an important link in the development of learning ability. Oral homework as another form of homework style has been a lack of research. In 2013, Shanghai education commission issued the requirement of promoting the teaching and evaluation based on the course standard in grade one and grade two in primary school in Shanghai, including no written exam. Strictly controlling quantity of homework, no written homework and teachers focusing on oral homework design. Therefore, how to design the oral homework both based on the course standard and in accordance with the characteristics of mathematics becomes the main task of the primary school mathematics teachers, and it is also an important link in improving the effectiveness of mathematics homework.In the perspective of course standard, this study is based on the course standard to the strategies that could be used to design oral mathematics homework in primary school. First, the article uses the method of literature research to study oral homework at home and abroad. Second, this article expounds the significance and advantages of oral homework after refining the relationship between the course standard and designing oral homework. Third, the status of using oral homework is analyzed in primary schools through questionnaire investigation and interview. Fourth,this article previews the theory of students’ cognitive development and psychological characteristics in order to find the basis for designing oral mathematics homework. Last, strategies about designing oral mathematics homework are found based on the work of the preceding parts.This article considers oral mathematics homework should be designed as the different forms according to different content, the design should follow the seven strategies, which are paying attention to students’ mastery of basic knowledge and skills, stimulating students’ interest in learning, having it be fun and be in a hierarchy of ability, designing examples for guidance, promoting children’s thinking development and highlighting the students’ personality. After using the seven strategies, the oral mathematics homework could not only satisfy the students, consolidate their knowledge and skills, but also develop many other abilities of students.
