The expand of postgraduate education has brought many realistic problems to college education quality and the quality of the postgraduate cultivation,Postgraduate education quality problem has attracted much attention.Especially under the knowledge economy era, the state increased attention for innovative talents, and all society also pay more and more attention to graduate students’ innovation ability.More and more scholars began to study the cultivation of the innovation ability of postgraduate.During the graduate student reading time,their main activity platform is the academic team, therefore, in this paper, we first studied the present situation of academic team management in colleges and universities, then discussed Relationship of University academic team management and postgraduate’s innovation ability, to improve the academic team management and provide strategies to improve graduate student innovation ability.The full essay is divided into five parts, the first part is introduction, mainly elaborated the research background and significance, concept definition, literature review, as well as the research ideas and methods; The second part discuss the basis of academic team management theoretical impact postgraduate’s innovation ability from the Angle of innovation theory and incentive theory,; The third part is the research design, the main content is the research object of this study, research tools and statistical tools; The fourth part is data analysis. Through the questionnaire survey, we try to understand the current university academic team management and the present situation of the master’s innovation ability, analyzing the relation between the academic team management and innovation ability,; The fifth part analyses the questionnaire results,and give some suggestions to improve the academic team management and improve the innovation ability of postgraduate, after that we put forward the innovation and deficiency of this study.from this study,we draw the following conclusions:(1)University academic team management is in the average level in general, among the four dimensions of the academic team management in colleges and universities,the dimension of team atmosphere scored the highest, the second is leadership style, work goal, team norms scored lowest. Specifically, on the subject, arts and business and four disciplines of academic team management significant differences on the work target, science and technology work goal clarity and clarity is significantly higher than liberal arts academic team. Different sizes of the academic team’s management work in leadership style, team atmosphere, goals and the team norms on the four dimensions were no significant differences.(2)Graduate students’innovation ability is a bit higher off the medium level. Among the four dimensions of graduate student innovation ability,innovation skills scored the highest, followed by imagination and innovation knowledge, innovation personality scored lowest. Specific terms, there is significent differences between different genger on innovative personality dimension, there is significent differences between different disciplines in dimension of innovation knowledge base. In particular, engineering and science disciplines significantly better than the liberal arts and business knowledge, there were no significant differences between engineering and science, there is no significant difference between liberal arts and business. There are significent differences between different grades on the dimensions of knowledge innovation and imagination. In concrete terms, on the dimension of innovation knowledge, the third grade is significantly better than that of grade one and grade two, there were no significant differences between grade one and grade two.All dimensions of academic team has significant effect to the graduate student innovation ability, among them, the target management has reverse effect on the graduate students innovative ability. Gender on the team goals for the impact of innovation ability of postgraduate has regulating effect.On the other hand, besides the imagination dimension, the rest three dimensions of academic team management has a significant effect on graduate student innovation ability,and all are positive predict.To this, this study put forward about the academic team management to improve and enhance the master graduate student innovation ability from two aspects of strategy, respectively is:perfect the academic team of academic evaluation mechanism, pay attention to the academic team members’ motivation, build team members within the psychological contract, promote members of effective communication, basic knowledge and comprehensive quality, encourage academic participation of graduate students and build academic exchange platform, pay attention to the gender differences of master graduate student innovation ability training.
