With the faster development of information technology, our life, learning, work and other relevant aspects are changing at an amazing speed because of information technology, and meanwhile, it also brings great changes to education and promotes education development to enter the information age. In order to promote the process of education informationization, it is necessary to promote the information technology capability of teachers. As elementary school teachers, they should make full use of various educational and teaching resources to provide better educational and teaching services to students and improve their own teaching quality and efficiency. Currently, improving the information technology capability of teachers has become an urgent task for education informationization. To solve the difficult problem, it is necessary to regard the information technology training of teachers as the breakthrough, and thus, the study on the information technology training of elementary school teachers has great significance.The research focuses on the elementary school teachers in Yanji City. Documentary method, questionnaire survey method and interview method are used comprehensively to investigate the current training situation and effect of information technology training for the elementary school teachers in Yanji City, to analyze the influences of training attitude and purposes, training content, training forms, training conditions, and training evaluation on training effect, understand the demands of elementary school teachers in Yanji City for information technology training, and propose effective suggestions for the problems in the information technology training for elementary school teachers in Yanji City. Through information technology training for teachers, it not only can improve the information technology capacity of teachers, optimize and improve the researches on the current information technology training for teachers, and provide some reference for the implementation of information technology training for elementary school teachers in future.The following conclusions are obtained through the survey research:firstly, in the information technology training for elementary school teachers, teachers lack the motivation for participation, and they are not positive enough; the training content is separated from practical demands, with weak practicability; the training form is simple and single; training conditions are not good enough, which can not meet the need of teachers; the training evaluation system is not perfect enough; and there is a gap between training demand and current training situation. Secondly, in the information technology training for elementary school teachers, training attitude and purposes, training content, training forms, training conditions and training evaluation can affect the final effect of training.For the problems mentioned above, the following suggestions are proposed:firstly, changing the attitude of teachers towards training and establishing the training purposes of teachers clearly; secondly, arranging the content of training rationally and improving the timeliness and effectiveness of training; thirdly, providing diversified training forms; fourth, optimizing the training conditions for teachers; fifthly, setting up a complete and perfect training evaluation mechanism; sixthly, meeting the demands of elementary school teachers for training; and seventhly, selecting suitable school-based training methods.
