With the rapid development of society, more and more people pay attention to the school education. Class management plays an important part of school education. Many teachers and scholars focus on how to manage the class effectively. With further deepening of quality education and the new curriculum standard, the traditional class management cannot adapt to the times requirements and cannot meet the need of high school students’ physical and mental development. Reforming the model of class management has become the focus of people’s attention. And the implementation of class autonomous management becomes the trend of the urge. Class self-management emphasizes full participation, highlighting the importance of the main status of students. The implementation of class self-management can not only reduce the burden of the head teacher, but also improve students’ ability of self-management and cultivate the development of students’ personality. By participating in the self-management, students will improve their self-education, self-supervision and self-evaluation, deepen their understanding of self-awareness, and achieve self-development as well. Therefore, it’s of great significance to study high school students’ autonomous management.Firstly,we carried out a questionnaire survey in Zhongshan X High School. Besides, we interviewed the school leaders, students, head teachers and parents and observed the class management. We worked out the investigation from two angles: class autonomous management and self-management of high school students, including goal setting and rules and regulations construction; students participating in the class management activities; students’ self-management consciousness and students’ satisfactory of class management; students’ self-management ability in the four aspects of learning, living, psychology and inter-person relationship. It’s found that the following problems exist: improper class management system, unscientific class evaluation system; out-of-date management concepts, unreasonable management methods; short of self-awareness, weak capability of independent management; backward family education idea, short of communication between family and school. Mainly based on the theory of management, the problems are analyzed from four aspects: the school, teacher, students and parents. At last, five effective strategies are put forward: reforming the current class management system; enhancing the ability of teacher management; cultivating students’ self- management ability, organizing and training the class cadre team; strengthening the cooperation between family and school.This paper consists of four parts: the introduction, the current situation of senior high school students’ autonomous management, the problems and analysis of senior high school students’ autonomous management, effective strategies of students’ autonomous management. The first part mainly illustrates the background, theoretical basis, research methods and research ideas; the second part investigates the current situation of class autonomous management in Zhongshan X High School. The third part mainly analysis the problems from four aspects. Finally, five effective strategies of class self-management are put forward.
