With the deepening of the process of modernization and urbanization, the uniqueness of local cultures is weakened, which makes it increasingly challenging for the locals to pass on their cultures. The inheritance of local culture needs education, particularly school-based curriculum education.By sorting out literature materials and researching into the current development of these cultures, the thesis discusses issues related to the development of school-based curricula which have a strong practical significance. Specifically speaking, the thesis is divided into the following six sections:The first part, reviewing the research situation. Firstly, the author defines the relational concepts; then, the author specifically expounds the meaning and value of school-based curriculum development, the principles and procedures of school-based curriculum development and so on; finally, the author evaluates the achievements and problems.The second part, the investigation of development situation. The investigation is carried out at three levels:Firstly, the current situation of school-based local culture curriculum development in Chibi primary and middle schools; secondly, the current development situation of local culture curriculum in Chibi No.l Senior Middle School; thirdly,_how much the students in Chibi No.l Senior Middle School has mastered about the local cultures and whether they are willing to learn these cultures.The third part, the necessity and feasibility of curriculum development. Necessity is mainly reflected in the balanced development of economic and cultural benefits, the improvement of students’comprehensive qualities; feasibility is mainly reflected in abundant resources, fruitful local culture researches and so on.The fourth part, the setting of curriculum goals and the selection and integration of curriculum resources. This course is an integrated curriculum,which is based on the sub-division courses. Readers can refer to "Chinese Language Curriculum Standards for General Secondary Schools". The thesis clarifies the curriculum goals from the following aspects:the knowledge and ability, the process and methods, the attitudes and values.In the selection of curriculum resources, it is necessary to not only follow the requirements of the general education curriculum resource selection theory, but also meet the requirements of Chinese Language Curriculum Standards and the curriculum goals of this course. On the chunking of curriculum resources, the course designers should integrate the course according to the culture core..The fifth part, the implementation of the curriculum. Based on expounding the implementation procedures and course types, the thesis illustrates the shedules, and then demonstrates with case studies.The sixth part, curriculum evaluation. Firstly, curriculum evaluation should follow a systematic, logical, and humanistic, fexible evaluation orientation; secondly, the evaluation should pay attention to clearing the main subjects and objects, the evaluation time and evaluation criteria.
